What can you expect from this role?

About the role

As a Quality Engineer – Test Automation at Conexxia, you work on digital solutions where quality, reliability, and collaboration are central. You ensure that software not only functions, but is also robust and future‑proof. Your focus is on automating tests and improving test processes, enabling us to deliver faster and more efficiently.

You work in a compact team with short communication lines and have the space to further develop your knowledge of test automation. You make an impact by identifying issues early and ensuring that our customers can rely on stable and high‑quality applications.

What you'll do

  • You develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scenarios

  • You perform functional and non‑functional tests on web and mobile applications

  • You are able to create test cases and translate them into automated scripts (via UI or API)

  • You work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality from the start

  • You identify and report bugs and follow them through to resolution

  • You contribute ideas for improving test processes and especially tooling

  • You monitor progress and ensure that test results are transparent and easy to understand

 

What you bring

You are analytical, detail‑oriented, and enjoy working with technology. You gain energy from improving software quality and automating processes. You’re never on your own; experienced colleagues help you grow, but you take initiative when needed.

 

Furthermore

  • Higher professional education (HBO) or university‑level thinking; a background in IT or engineering is a plus

  • 1–2 years of experience in software testing and basic knowledge of test automation

  • Experience creating test cases and performing functional tests

  • Experience with one or more test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar

  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus

  • Strong communication skills and a structured working style

  • Fluent in Dutch; English is an advantage

What we offer

  • Salary up to €3,700 gross per month, depending on experience; excluding holiday allowance;

  • Bonus scheme based on results and contribution;

  • Monthly expense allowance of €200;

  • Unlimited vacation days*;

  • Mobility budget depending on role type and position, minimum €800 per month.
