Start as: Quality Engineer (Tester)

With your critical eye, every application works exactly the way the user deserves.

What can you expect from this role?

About the role

As a Quality Engineer (Tester) at Conexxia, you work on digital solutions where quality, reliability, and collaboration are central. You help clients move forward by thoroughly testing applications, identifying issues early, and implementing improvements. You work in a compact team with short communication lines and plenty of room to further develop your role.

You make an impact by ensuring that software not only works, but also meets high quality standards and delivers an optimal user experience. While the Quality Engineer – Test Automation role focuses on designing and maintaining automated tests, this position emphasizes thorough manual testing and fostering quality awareness in daily practice.

What you'll do

  • You perform functional and non‑functional tests on web and mobile applications

  • You create and maintain test scenarios and test cases

  • You work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality from the start

  • You identify and report bugs and follow them through to resolution

  • You focus primarily on manual testing and support test automation, with the goal of gradually building knowledge and experience in this area

  • You report test results and findings and align these with the Test Automation Quality Engineer and the team

  • You contribute ideas for improving workflows and tooling

  • You take responsibility for quality, documentation, and clear communication

What you bring

You have an eye for detail, an analytical mindset, and enjoy collaborating in multidisciplinary teams. You gain energy from improving software quality and preventing issues. You’re never on your own; experienced colleagues help you grow, but you take initiative when needed.

Furthermore

  • We are looking for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in software testing and the ambition to quickly grow in knowledge and independence. This role is explicitly designed as an entry‑level position, with a clear growth path toward Quality Engineer – Test Automation or other specializations within Quality & Testing

  • Higher professional education (HBO) or university‑level thinking; a background in IT or engineering is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB or TMAP is an advantage)

  • Experience creating test cases and performing functional tests

  • Familiarity with test tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar

  • Interest in test automation and willingness to learn

  • Strong communication skills and a structured working style

  • Fluent in Dutch; English is an advantage

What we offer

  • Salary up to €3,700 gross per month, depending on experience; excluding holiday allowance;

  • Bonus scheme based on results and contribution;

  • Monthly expense allowance of €200;

  • Unlimited vacation days*;

  • Mobility budget depending on role type and position, minimum €800 per month.

  • Development: internal coaching, training, and opportunities to shape your role;

  • Working in a team where trust, responsibility, and professionalism are key.
